At Campamento Solidaridad, more than 200 family kits and continued care for 21 families

LA GUAIRA, VENEZUELA — September 12, 2026. Fundación Corazones por la Vida returned to Campamento Solidaridad with more than 200 comprehensive family kits and a renewed commitment to the people living there. The visit combined practical assistance with health follow-up for residents the foundation has accompanied since the first days after the two earthquakes.

Essential supplies for families

Each kit brought together personal hygiene products, medicines and food. The kits were assembled to support a family unit of three or four people, helping households meet several everyday needs through one coordinated delivery. More than 200 kits were distributed during the September 12 visit.

At Campamento Solidaridad, the foundation is providing ongoing assistance to 21 families. That continuing relationship helps the team listen to residents, understand changing needs and plan follow-up beyond a single distribution day.

Returning to check on health

The visit also gave the team an opportunity to review how residents were doing and to follow the progress of their health over time. The foundation has remained close to this community since virtually the first day after the two earthquakes. Returning means checking in with people, hearing their concerns and keeping the response connected to their circumstances today.

A commitment that continues

Emergency response is built through presence as well as supplies. By coming back to Campamento Solidaridad, the team brought immediate help while maintaining contact with families it has supported since the disaster’s earliest days. The foundation will continue to use these visits to understand residents’ needs and guide its work in La Guaira.
