More than 70,000 meals served: our Humanitarian Kitchen sustains communities across La Guaira

LA GUAIRA, VENEZUELA — September 25, 2026. Fundación Corazones por la Vida has now prepared and distributed more than 70,000 breakfasts, lunches and dinners through its Humanitarian Kitchen and field teams, reaching communities across La Guaira with dependable food assistance during an extended emergency response.

The figure represents far more than a count of portions. Every meal requires ingredients, safe preparation, packaging, transportation and direct delivery. Behind each plate is a chain of volunteers, cooks, coordinators and community leaders working so that children, older adults and families facing displacement and uncertainty can receive something warm, nourishing and prepared with care.

A daily lifeline after the earthquakes

Since the first days of the emergency, food has been one of the most urgent and persistent needs identified in the communities visited by the foundation. The Humanitarian Kitchen was organized to transform donated and purchased ingredients into ready-to-eat meals, then move those portions from the kitchen to camps, shelters and neighborhoods where families are living through the consequences of the disaster.

Operating across the day allows the response to adapt to different realities. Breakfast can help a family begin the morning with stability; lunch sustains people through medical visits, paperwork and recovery work; and dinner offers relief at the end of a difficult day.
